2008 Professional Training Programs
We are pleased to offer our 2008 spring line-up of professional training programs. This will be an
exciting year for the Professional Training Institute because we will add a Train-the-Trainer
Program: Advanced Topics in Alzheimer’s Care! This NEW program covers 12 topics:

o Gentle Approaches to Bathing
o Intimacy & Sexuality
o Reducing Resistive Behavior
o Preventing Falls
o Spirituality
o End of Life Care
o Communicating through Storytelling
o Making Mealtimes Matter
o Recognizing and Reporting Pain
o Understanding Exit-Seeking
We will also be offering our usual train-the-trainer programs such as The Best Friends Approach to
Dementia Care, Illinois Dementia Care plus various seminars and full-day conferences throughout

This is also an exciting time for us because our headquarters in Skokie is moving soon to Chicago
near O’Hare! Our new address will be 8430 West Bryn Mawr, Suite 800 Chicago, Illinois 60631; our
phone number will stay the same. We will be located in more spacious offices, located just off the
Kennedy Expressway at Cumberland Avenue. We will be able to host training programs on site and
there is ample parking to boot!
